Maggie is a Hong Kong born, Montreal based aerialist specializing in Aerial Straps, Silks and Duo Straps. She is known for her dynamic and interactive performing style.

 

Maggie has always been aspired to become a circus artist ever since she was a kid. At the age of 14, Maggie started preparing herself physically through regular artistic gymnastics training. In 2016, she discovered Hong Kong Circus and started training aerial silks intensively in their youth training program. In the same year, Maggie has also started taking different types of dance classes including contemporary, modern, jazz, jazz funk and ballet, as well as taking theatrical acting classes regularly. In 2019, Maggie was inspired by Haley Viloria’s powerful aerial straps performance in Kooza by Cirque du Soleil, and made her decision to pursue aerial straps as her specialty. During the pandemic, Maggie has been training full time aerial straps and circus with Tomek Wiwatowski for one year. After the pandemic, Maggie decided to followed her passion to become a circus artist. So she left her life in Hong Kong and came to Montreal to continue her circus training. In 2021, Maggie officially started private training with Victor Fomine, an internationally famous aerial straps coach, to hone her techniques as a straps specialist. Ever since, she has been pushing her limits to craft her art by investing all her energy into creating an aerial straps number. After one year, Maggie began her career as a performing artist specializing in aerials straps and silks. Since 2022, she has the opportunity to perform huge events and festivals located Canada and internationally, including the Art for Art Festival in the Concert Hall in Toronto, Festival De Cirque Des Laurentides in val David, Formula 1 Race Week sponsor party at Yoko Luna in Montreal, Karnidale Circus Festival in Australia and Contemporary Circus Festival in Macao.
